This weekend was bike week at Laconia which is where the track I race on is. I have never seen so many Farmer-Tanned, Wifebeatered, non-belt wearing, Cut off Jean, Mudded up Pickup Truck with firewood in the back, redneck fucks in my life, I hope none of you ever have to experience it. TKY2K came up and was my pit crew. He mostly busted my balls the whole time.

So on my first practice out I was coming out of just about the worst turn on the track and the bike tossed me 5 feet in the air. I landed on my head and shoulder, then on my arm up in my right ribs, where I fractured one and tore my helmet and leathers to wholey hell, there goes a brand new $500.00 Helmet (As you can kinda see in this shot). I had changed the rear shock on my bike and had it setup for a 400Pound oaf, note to self, never mess with your own suspension on a race bike, it will not end well.

A new Bar, some zip ties, some ducktape and we are back on the track to fuck shit up.

The dudes in the bleachers are the rednecks I was speaking about, the fence is not there to protect them from us, but in my mind, us from them, thank god.

That wall there is where most of the people on this track die. Pretty fun to take that turn at 70 and look right at it from about 6 inches off.

The Next day I was coming out of the other deadly turn on this crap track and almost lost it again. This time the bike was all over the place for some other reason, I went into the pit, got off the bike to see what was up and found I had picked up something and gotten a hole in my rear tire (almost flat to the ground). From the sounds of it, I am only the second lucky person to have that happen on the track in 10 years, something is telling me this was not my weekend to be on a track, I kept going, fuck it.. A $200.00 rear tire and we are off.

Knee on the ground. Weeeeeeee.

Shout out the the Electric Sunglasses Crew. Next will be some WB props, (If Logan ever makes the fucking things for me, SLACKASS)

So, for my birthday I did the Following:
Had a cookout for myself (So sad I am): $100.00
Drove to the Track: $100.00 for gas in my poluting monster Van
Practiced: $60.00
Crashed: $300.00 to fix Bike, $460.00 for the brand new helmet I mangled.
Raced 5 Races, 2 of which I could not complete due to a flat tire: $325.00
New rear tire: $200.00
Total: $1545.00
A head ache, a broken rib, and a funny limp: fucking priceless.
